The Rossa brings together two trusted comfort technologies in one certified organic package. At its core is a pocket coil innerspring unit, with each coil individually wrapped in biodegradable PLA, providing targeted, responsive support across the sleep surface. On top of that sits a layer of GOLS-certified organic latex, available in your choice of Soft (plush), Medium, or Firm, so you can dial in the surface feel that suits your body best. The entire mattress is encased in a GOTS-certified organic cotton and wool cover with a zipper for easy access. No synthetic fire retardants are used anywhere in the Rossa, reflecting OMI’s commitment to purity for both the body and the environment. The Rossa stands approximately 12 inches tall and is made in the USA as part of OMI’s Rest Collection.
The Rossa’s pocket coils are smaller in diameter (approximately 1.5 inches) than the coils found in a standard box spring (approximately 3 inches), which means the mattress requires a compatible support surface to prevent unsupported gaps and protect the warranty. Three approved options are available: the coordinating OMI Rossa foundation, padded specifically to support the coil core; the supplemental foundation layer, a 2-inch coir (natural coconut fiber and natural latex) insert wrapped in organic cotton that can be placed on top of an existing box spring, foundation, or platform bed; or a slat bed frame with no more than 1 inch between slats. Using an incompatible foundation could void the warranty, so selecting the right base is an important part of your purchase.
