The White Lotus Green Cotton and Wool Latex Core Mattress is a cotton and wool mattress that adds a 3-inch natural latex core to the classic Green Cotton and wool construction White Lotus is known for. Green Cotton layers are stacked above and below the latex, and the entire core is wrapped in approximately 1.5 inches of pure wool, creating a sleep surface that is medium-firm in overall support with a soft, natural contact point on the surface. The addition of latex makes this mattress more responsive than a cotton-only option, giving it a gentle springiness that cotton alone does not provide.
The pure wool wrap works on multiple levels beyond comfort. It acts as a natural flame retardant, removing the need for synthetic fire retardant chemicals. It also serves as a natural dust mite repellent and a year-round temperature regulator, wicking moisture away from the body during warmer months and helping retain warmth during cooler ones.
