The entire core is then wrapped in approximately 1.5 inches of pure wool, creating a sleep surface that is medium-firm in overall support with a soft, natural contact point on the surface. The addition of latex makes this mattress more responsive than a cotton-only option, giving it a gentle springiness, and makes it softer overall than the Cotton and Wool Dreamton. Compatible with platform beds, box springs, and bi-fold frames, this organic cotton futon-style mattress is available in Twin, Full, Queen, and King.
The pure wool wrap serves multiple purposes beyond comfort. It acts as a natural flame retardant, removing the need for synthetic fire retardant chemicals. It also functions as a natural dust mite repellent and a year-round temperature regulator, wicking moisture away from the body during warmer months and helping retain warmth during cooler ones.
